Maria shot a wedding at the Estoi Palace, Portugal, being a Wedding Photographer in the Algarve. What a beautiful and intimate wedding it was. I have wanted to be the Wedding Photographer at the Estoi Palace, Algarve for some time now and when the Algarve Prestige Wedding and Event told me that the reception was going to be in Estoi. The views of the palace are amazing! Pousada Palacio Estoi is a 19th-century palace. Recently investors turned the palace into a luxury hotel and a beautiful wedding venue. There are beautiful outdoor locations for photographs and a wedding ceremony.
As there was one more Algarve wedding photographer beside me, I focused on capturing the bride’s preparation, ceremony, and details. I love taking “getting ready” photos and I was happy that it was equally as important to the bride to take pictures of the process of doing her hair and make-up. There are weddings when the mother of the bride and the bridesmaids are taking part of this preparation process. But on a small wedding this can be very intimate, just the three of us, the bride, the make-up artist / hairdresser and me, the photographer. The bride looked marvellous and the pictures were beautiful no matter the angle. What else could a wedding photographer wish for?
Each bride wants a picture of their wedding dress, but you should not forget to capture the bridal bouquet, shoes and jewellery. Also, these are the details that add a personal touch to a wedding. At that time, the wedding flowers were inspired by the shoes of the bride, and the lace wedding dress fitted well with the aura of the palace.
The experience when the groom first time sees his future wife in a wedding gown is always very emotional. Both for the groom, the bride and for the guests who are witnessing this moment. This time it was a very intimate wedding as the only guests were the parents and the grandparents of the couple. I am glad that I was a part of this intimate moment.
The wedding ceremony took place in the garden of the Estoi Palace, with a beautiful view of the palace alleys. Without invitation the gates to the garden will remain closed. Only as a guest of the palace you can enjoy the beauty. Perhaps when you look at the pictures, you might ascertain the thought of holding your wedding in Estoi.
Both the dining table and the ceremonial table looked amazing with the gypsum flower decoration. These flowers are a symbol for classic weddings. The wedding table was between the old Roman-style pillars which gave it a very elegant feeling.
This Algarve wedding was very emotional and intimate – a beautiful celebration with their loved ones. We would like to thank Prestige Wedding and Event Planners in Algarve for the invitation. Also for their trust to let me capture the beginning of the life the two young people’s happy lives as spouses. They placed the highest level of trust in me as a wedding photographer. I always feel honoured when someone has entrusted me to capture their memories. I definitely want to shoot more weddings at the Estoi palace. As their wedding photographer in the Algarve.
