Snowy Forest After Wedding Shoot in Estonia

Wedding Photographer Tallinn, Estonia – After Wedding Shoot in Estonia.after wedding shoot in estonia

Two weeks ago, we visited Laura and Cardo. They both live in Tallinn, Estonia where we just had shot Kristi’s and Reimo’s winter Elopement Wedding in the capital Tallinn.

Laura and Cardo just recently got married – before we met and therefore we started to plan their romantic after wedding shoot. Laura began to change and prepare her dress. We started scouting locations in Harjumaa. It had to be in a forest since almost all Estonian’s have a deep connection to their country and its traditions. The forest still has a huge place in their hearts. As a matter of fact, more than 50% of Estonia is covered with forest.

The area around Keila got our attention once again. Rocca al Mare is a large open-air museum, featuring traditional houses and an old windmill. All surrounded by beautiful trees. What a pretty place to visit, not just for an after-wedding photo shoot. Of course, it was very frosty again and so close to the sea the cold seemed bitingly sharp. The two fell, just like we did, in love with the location. Rustic beauty and still so many traditions, that’s Estonia. During the summer visitors will see the long white nights, the sun then will never set. In the winter it is quite the opposite. The days are short and cold and the sun is hardly visible at all. But there’s another opportunity. The northern lights, or Virmalised as the Estonians call it. And we were lucky enough to see them too, but more about this later.

Rocco al Mare was the perfect place to start our snowy forest after wedding shoot in Estonia. Good vibes and laughter were always part of the shoot. Hot drinks were necessary from time to time, to keep us alive and to warm up our freezing hands.

We are sure that we will meet Laura and Cardo again, for a coffee and also for another shooting, in beautiful Estonia.

Love, Maria and Sandy.
