Our story with image-making began long before weddings. In 1999, a simple camcorder sparked a fascination with light, movement and the quiet power of storytelling. What began as curiosity soon became a lifelong pursuit of capturing atmosphere and emotion in a way that feels both cinematic and deeply personal.
Over the years, we have worked across editorial, fashion, portrait and documentary projects — experiences that shaped our refined yet natural approach. Today, we bring that perspective into every wedding we document, blending unscripted moments with an editorial eye for composition, elegance and light.
Whether in the Algarve, Lisbon, or beyond, our intention remains the same: to create photographs and films that feel effortless, emotive and timeless.
MEET MARIA
Maria’s journey began on the other side of the camera. Fourteen years ago, while studying psychology, she worked as a model and developed an intuitive understanding of presence, movement and emotion.
Her curiosity for the creative process gradually drew her behind the lens — a transition that began when Sandy introduced her to large format photography. Today, Maria brings a rare combination of emotional sensitivity and refined aesthetic awareness to every wedding.
Her calm presence allows couples to feel completely at ease, while her understanding of human connection enables her to anticipate the moments that matter most.
She is also mastering the historic collodion wet plate process, dating back to 1851. Each plate is handcrafted and entirely unique — a reflection of her appreciation for authenticity, craftsmanship and timeless beauty.
MEET SANDY
Sandy’s passion for film began in 1999 with his first camcorder — an early fascination with how light and motion could transform fleeting moments into lasting stories.
Working professionally since 2001, he has collaborated with clients including dpa, Die Welt, GEO Magazin, Der Spiegel and the Humboldt Forum. His background spans analogue large format photography to contemporary digital cinema — a rare balance of technical mastery and artistic intention.
Film remains at the heart of his creative identity. Together, we maintain our own darkroom, developing black & white, E6 and C41 film in-house — from 35mm to large format. The discipline and precision of analogue processes continue to influence his modern wedding filmmaking: considered, immersive, and emotionally layered.
As the lead filmmaker — and photographer — Sandy focuses on atmosphere, rhythm and cinematic storytelling, crafting wedding films that feel understated yet powerful.
MEET SILVIO
Silvio is an Algarve-based photographer, colleague and trusted creative partner.
With over two decades of experience, he brings a composed presence and an intuitive eye for natural interaction. His ability to observe quietly allows him to capture authentic moments with elegance and subtlety.
Beyond weddings, Silvio is a certified diving expert with a deep love for underwater photography — a personal passion that reflects his fascination with light, movement and perspective. Exploring the world beneath the surface has refined his patience and visual awareness, qualities that translate beautifully into his wedding work.
His contribution adds depth, artistry and balance to every celebration we document.
