A Coastal Destination Wedding at Pestana Viking, Algarve
Jimmy and Christina travelled from Toronto to celebrate their wedding in the Algarve, gathering family and friends for a joyful destination celebration in Portugal.
The day began at Vilalara Grand Hotel, where preparations unfolded in an atmosphere of calm anticipation. With its elegant architecture and coastal surroundings, the setting provided a refined backdrop for the quiet, meaningful moments before the ceremony. Laughter echoed softly through the rooms as friends and family shared in the excitement of the day ahead.
Their ceremony took place at Pestana Viking, overlooking the dramatic Algarve coastline. Surrounded by loved ones who had journeyed from Canada and beyond, Jimmy and Christina exchanged vows in a setting that felt both expansive and intimate — the Atlantic stretching endlessly behind them.
After the ceremony, we travelled together to the iconic chapel of Senhora da Rocha for their couple session. Perched high above the sea, the historic white chapel offered a timeless contrast to the blue horizon. From there, we continued down to Praia Nova, where golden cliffs and soft sand created a relaxed, romantic atmosphere. These quieter moments away from the celebration allowed them to slow down and simply be together — something that always brings depth to a wedding film.
As evening approached, the celebration continued with warmth and energy back at the reception. Speeches, embraces and a lively dance floor reflected the joy of two families coming together across continents.
