From the Algarve to Thailand – A Destination Wedding at The Jungle Club, Koh Samui
Some stories continue beyond a single celebration.
Two years earlier, we had the honour of photographing and filming Wendy & Michael’s wedding in the Algarve. Among the guests was Wendy’s sister, Nathalie. After experiencing the atmosphere, the emotion and the way we documented her sister’s day, she later reached out with a beautiful question — would we be willing to travel to Thailand to capture her own wedding?
With her sister’s blessing, the answer was an easy yes.
Nathalie and Stephen chose The Jungle Club in Koh Samui as the setting for their destination celebration. Perched high above the island with panoramic views over the ocean, the venue offered an extraordinary blend of tropical nature and intimate atmosphere. Surrounded by lush greenery and endless sky, their ceremony felt both adventurous and deeply personal.
Friends and family travelled from France and across the world to gather in Thailand, creating a celebration that felt truly international. The energy throughout the day was warm, emotional and vibrant — a reflection of two families already connected through shared memories.
Filming in such a unique landscape allowed us to approach the story differently, balancing the raw beauty of the jungle surroundings with the quiet, intimate exchanges between Nathalie and Stephen. The result is a wedding film that captures not only the setting, but the continuation of a family story that began years earlier in Portugal.
For us, this wedding was more than a destination assignment — it was a testament to trust. Being invited to document another chapter for the same family, this time across the world, remains one of the most meaningful experiences in our journey as wedding filmmakers.
