A Cliffside Destination Wedding at Pestana Alvor Praia, Algarve
Amanda and James travelled from Canada to celebrate their destination wedding in the Algarve, choosing Pestana Alvor Praia for its dramatic cliffside setting and sweeping views over the Atlantic coast.
Their ceremony took place on the cliffs above the sea, where the Algarve landscape created a striking backdrop for such an emotional moment. Surrounded by family and friends who had travelled to Portugal to celebrate with them, they exchanged vows in a setting that felt both expansive and intimate.
From the beginning of the day, there was a calm and genuine connection between them. Every glance and every quiet smile felt effortless — the kind of presence with each other that never needs to be forced.
After the ceremony, we headed to Prainha for their couple session. With the golden cliffs, soft sand and evening light, it was the perfect setting for portraits that felt natural, relaxed and full of movement. The atmosphere quickly shifted from emotional to playful, and those spontaneous moments brought so much life to this part of the film.
As the celebration continued back at Pestana Alvor Praia, the energy of the day carried naturally into the evening. Heartfelt speeches, warm embraces and a lively dance floor brought everything together and gave the story a joyful finish.
Our approach to this wedding film was documentary at its core — allowing moments to unfold naturally — while shaping the story through movement, layered audio and thoughtful composition. From the clifftop ceremony to the portraits at Prainha and the celebration that followed, the film reflects not just how the day looked, but how it felt.
